EVHomeSavings.com is an independent consumer-calculator site that helps U.S. drivers estimate the real cost of owning an electric vehicle versus a gasoline car. We publish seven free calculators, detailed state-by-state savings guides for all 50 states plus D.C., and a library of original articles on EV incentives, charging, and total cost of ownership. We are not affiliated with any automaker, dealership, utility, or government agency, and we do not sell vehicles.
Every figure on the site is calculated from public, authoritative sources — U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) residential electricity rates, AAA fuel prices, the U.S. DOE Alternative Fuels Data Center for incentives and charging, and EPA/FuelEconomy.gov for efficiency and maintenance. We do not invent numbers, and we disclose our methodology on every state page. If you believe a figure is out of date or wrong, a short, specific note from you is the fastest way for us to correct it.
We are a calculator and education site and cannot provide tax, financial, or legal advice. For those, please consult a qualified professional or the official IRS and state energy office.
